The Military Junta accepts international aid

The Military Junta has now opened its door to foreign aid workers, though not to boats or helicopters. According to Ban Ki Moon, who visited the disaster stricken Burma, the Junta will allow the Yangon Airport as a hub for distributing aid. Full Story Here

The Burmese community is still wary of these claims, especially BAWA. While BAWA is happy at the prospect that getting aid for the victims is more possible than before, we are afraid this will strengthen the Junta in the future. Such a government with a history of blantant deception, creulty and theivery should not be easily trusted.
