Cyclone Nargis Relief Fund

As you may know last week the cyclone Nargis hit the delta region of Burma leaving millions of people homeless without food, drinking water or medical supplies. The intensity of the winds blowing during the cyclone was reported to be around 120-160 mph. CNN reports that the death toll tops 100,000.

The ravaged regions, already impoverished due to the Military Junta’s exploitive and oppressive rule, are in a state of total emergency and are in dire need of aid. The government has sent out a rare plea for help to the international community.

We have set up the BAWA Cyclone Nagris Relief Fund to collect money and send in as much support as we can. We are rallying the support of the compassionate people in the Bay Area to aid those who are suffering in this shocking disaster.

All donations are tax deductible!
